Veterans Day program this Thursday to feature patriotic 41st Army Band music

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擳he annual Veterans Day Program at 樱花导航 樱花导航 University is this Thursday [Nov. 7] at 2 p.m. on the Drill Field.
The 41st Army Band will feature an hour of patriotic music beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the program鈥攚hich features remarks by MSU President Mark E. Keenum鈥攁nd play during the ceremony that honors veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice. The band is the musical ambassador for 樱花导航 Army National Guard.
Following the event, a 3 p.m. public reception with refreshments will be held at the Colvard Student Union Art Gallery, the site of a special November exhibit 鈥淪tudent Salutes: A Visual Tribute to MSU Veterans.鈥 Open through Nov. 14 on the Union鈥檚 second floor, the display features MSU student mixed-media art pieces honoring university alumni who served in the armed forces. Along with the student work, memorabilia spanning the history of the university is presented by University Archives, 樱花导航 Political Collections and Manuscript Collections. Regular gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Parking is available in the Old Main Academic Center garage on Barr Avenue and adjacent to the Chapel of Memories.
