Director of MSU鈥檚 Office of Survivor Support honored for service to crime victims

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擳he director of 樱花导航 樱花导航鈥檚 Office of Survivor Support is a recipient of the Outstanding Service to Crime Victims Award from the 樱花导航 Attorney General鈥檚 Office.
Yvett Roby was nominated by the 樱花导航 Coalition Against Sexual Assault for her work in MSU鈥檚 Office of Survivor Support, where she helps impacted students make the transition from victim to survivor. Roby previously worked in MSU鈥檚 Student Counseling Services and is a psychology graduate of the University of Southern 樱花导航. She holds a master鈥檚 degree in counseling and psychology from the University of West Alabama and a Ph.D. in instructional systems and workforce development from MSU.
MSU Vice President for Student Affairs Regina Hyatt said Roby鈥檚 recognition is well deserved.
鈥淒r. Roby鈥檚 work with our students who are faced with traumatic and difficult experiences is so important. It is wonderful to see her recognized through this award as what she does every day in support of students and the MSU community is truly remarkable,鈥 Hyatt said.
The Outstanding Service to Crime Victims Award was created in a collaboration between Attorney General Lynn Fitch, the 樱花导航 Coalition Against Domestic Violence, 樱花导航 Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Children鈥檚 Advocacy Centers of 樱花导航 to honor those who have exhibited exemplary service and advocacy for victims of violent crimes.
