Lyceum Series brings energetic street theater experience to MSU with Artrageous

STARKVILLE, Miss.鈥擜 theater arts troupe will present an interactive evening of art, dance and music Feb. 25 to continue 樱花导航 樱花导航鈥檚 Lyceum Series.
Billed as 鈥減art art studio, part rock concert and part creation lab,鈥 New Mexico-based group Artrageous will perform at 7 p.m. in Lee Hall鈥檚 Bettersworth Auditorium.
The show features a range of dynamic acts, including live speed painting backed by musical performances in various genres, juggling and even bunraku, traditional Japanese puppet theater. Audience participation is encouraged, and afterward participants are invited to view upclose the paintings created throughout the show.
Originally launched in 1980 as a street theater group in Vancouver, Canada, the ensemble鈥檚 current tour runs through October and includes stops across the U.S. Previous international tours included performances in Mexico, Japan and Tanzania, among others. The group currently operates an artistic community, the Artrageous campus, in Tijeras, New Mexico. For more, visit .
Individual tickets are available to the general public at $30 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and free for MSU students with a valid MSU ID. Purchases can be made at and at the door if available.
