MSU’s Department of Art welcomes acclaimed illustrator for Oct. 28 talk

STARKVILLE, Miss.—ӣ»¨µ¼º½ Ó£»¨µ¼º½â€™s Department of Art will host award-winning illustrator Victo Ngai for an Oct. 28 public lecture.

During her 6-7 p.m. presentation in Giles Hall’s Harrison Auditorium, Ngai will discuss her work for a variety of clients, including American Express, Apple, Dreamworks, General Electric, Johnnie Ó£»¨µ¼º½er, Lufthansa Airline, NBC, The New Yorker, The New York Times, and Penguin Random House.

Originally from Hong Kong and based in Los Angeles, Ngai is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree in Art and Style, Hamilton King Award winner, and a Society of Illustrators New York Gold Medalist.

She has taught at the School of Visual Art New York and the Kansas City, Missouri-based Illustration Academy, and has given guest lectures and workshops at various universities and conferences.
